A dozen tabs
for every carrier you have not used before
Company register, VAT status, the website, the phone number, last year's email thread. Assembled by hand, from scratch, while a load sits waiting on an answer.
Carrier verification for European freight
Freight fraud rarely uses a fake company. It uses a real one, whose name, VAT number and reputation belong to somebody else entirely. CarrierLens checks the carrier that actually contacted you, and keeps the answer where it can be found again.
The problem
Handing a shipment to an outside carrier is a decision about a stranger, taken under time pressure, usually by whoever picked up the phone. The cost of getting it wrong does not stay with the carrier.

only the company being named
Verification confirms that a company exists and trades. It rarely confirms that the address, domain and number in front of you are that company's. Impersonation lives in the difference.
the party that chose the carrier
After a loss, the question is whether the carrier was selected with due care. Remembering that you checked is not an answer to it. A dated record of what you checked is.
Who it is for
The exposure is the same wherever the order originates. What changes is how often you take on a carrier you do not already know.
Your customer contracted you, and you subcontracted the load. A carrier booked badly is your loss to absorb and your relationship to repair.
High-value goods and a delivery date somebody else is counting on. Knowing who is on the other side of the gate costs less than finding out later.
Subcontractors rotate constantly. Without a shared record, each site decides for itself what counts as checked, and the weakest one sets the level.
Seasonal volume means carriers you have never used, taken on at speed. That is precisely when the wrong one gets through.
How it works
Company name, VAT number, and the address the approach came from. Nothing else to gather.
Each reports its own outcome, including when a source is down. Unavailable never counts as clear.
Release, hold, or send for review. The reason and the evidence stay attached to the decision.
Afterwards
When a load goes missing, the question is not whether you checked. It is whether you can show what you saw, on the day you saw it, before you agreed to the job.
Reports, usage and audit entries are append-only in the database itself. There is no path in the product that rewrites a completed check, and none for us either.
Every report carries a checksum of its own contents. Recompute it against the file someone hands you and you know whether it is the one that was issued.
Who ran the check, who reviewed the thin parts, who released the load, and when each of them did it.
Pricing
Every plan runs the same check and keeps the same record. What changes is how many checks you get and how many people share them.
